The club

Chiangmai Muay-Thai  Gym was founded in September 2000. Its aim is to promote Thai Boxing and Thai culture. It is open to everyone, women, men, and children from 6 years old.

Thai Boxing is a very complete martial art, which helps to improve the cardio-vascular system, muscles, coordination, suppleness and many fighting techniques. Thai boxing can be practised by anyone, without risk.

The teacher has practised martial arts for 34 years and Thai boxing for 22 years. His experience in fighting sports  guarantees that our students have expert knowledge and  high quality  teaching.
He is also president of  the Swiss Muay Thai Federation (SMF) and vice-president of the World Professional Muay-Thai Federation (WPMF Switzerland).

His wife, who also teaches at the gym, is Thaï. She has been  in the Muay-Thai environement since her youth She is the WPMF president in Switzerland, which gives us a lot of opportunities for contacts and a close relationship with Thaïland.

Every year we organise workshops in Geneva with the biggest Thai champions, to give our students chances to learn from their experiences and to progress. (Buakaw Por.Pramuk, Bovy, Anuwat Kaewsamrit, Langsuan...).

We also have a camp based in Chiangmai in the north of Thaïland and we work in association with the Kaewsamrit Gym of  Bangkok ( Thaïland number one camp).

This collaboration helps our competitors to fight regularly in Thaïland and offers them  maximum opportunities.
